DeWalt FLEXVOLT

DeWalt has announced its newest cordless technology, FLEXVOLT, which brings corded power to a cordless system.

The FLEXVOLT battery switches voltage to match the tool, so it’s compatible with DeWalt’s existing 20V MAX platform as well as the new 60V MAX and 120V MAX cordless lineup that includes a cordless table saw and cordless 12″ sliding mitre saw. The new mitre saw uses two FLEXVOLT 60V MAX batteries to deliver 120 Volts and the cutting performance of a corded saw.

Check out the slideshow below to see the other tools in the FLEXVOLT lineup.

How Does FLEXVOLT Work?

The FLEXVOLT battery has 15 cells that run in either parallel or series, depending on the tool. When connected to a 20 V MAX tool, FLEXVOLT runs in parallel mode, delivering up to 6.0 Ah and four times the runtime.

When connected to a 60V tool, or the 120V mitre saw, FLEXVOLT runs in series, providing 2.0 Ah and the power of a corded tool.

FLEXVOLT Accessories

To complement its new cordless tools, DeWalt has launched a new line of accessories including

  • blades for circular saws, mitre saws and table saws
  • hole saws
  • abrasives
  • reciprocating saw blades.

Stay tuned and we’ll let you know when FLEXVOLT becomes available at KMS Tools.
