With the new DeWalt DCS367 20V MAX XR Compact Cordless Reciprocating Saw hitting shelves this month, we thought it’d be a great time to look at our lineup of compact cordless reciprocating saws.
Let’s start with the new DeWalt, which features a brushless motor that delivers longer runtime and more power than the previous model, especially when paired with a 5.0 amp hour battery pack. The more efficient brushless motor facilitates a 1-1/8″ stroke—longer than most other compact reciprocating saws. The DSC367 also features a redesigned grip for more comfort and less slipping.
Like its predecessor, the DCS367 weighs 5 lbs, is 14.5″ long and features a quick-change four-position blade clamp, which allows users to make a variety of cuts, as well as quick, easy blade swaps. Also familiar is its variable-speed switch that spans 0 to 2,900 strokes per minute (SPM).
DeWalt manufactures the DCS367 in the USA, while earlier iterations were made overseas.
The biggest improvement is the new motor, which makes this compact tool more attractive to professional users who are looking for a compact cordless reciprocating saw that fits between studs and delivers more power and runtime.
