Tool Donation Drive for KMS Tools For The World

KMS Tools is having a tool drive at our KMS Tools Edmonton West store on May 16!  KMS Tools accepts donations of good working tools all year round for our Tools for the World program, with an immediate need right now to fill two containers. The first container is scheduled to ship in June to Honduras and the second to Somalia later this summer. 

Get your spring cleaning on, and drop by from 9am-5pm for this special tool donation drive, with special guest David McAuley, (@theeupcycler)!  He’ll be on-site in the morning for a meet-and-greet and to collect empty gas and propane tanks. He will also be donating two pallets of tools himself to the cause!

Clean out your garage or shop for a cause!  The best items to donate are hand tools, and working corded power tools, but any tool or piece of equipment that can be used here, can also be used in remote communities all over the world, from automotive equipment, to garden tools, carpentry tools, to plumbing!

Tools For The World at the Garage Sale – August 18 – 20, 2022

Great news!!  We’ve had more Tools for the World donations over the last couple years than we’ve been able to distribute overseas!

In order to reduce the backlog of donated tools, some of them will be up for sale at our KMS Garage Sales, Aug 18-20, and 110% of the proceeds from these tools will help other tools reach the countries that need them most!

Tools for the World : A Look At 2020

2020 came with its challenges, felt throughout the entire globe. Tools for the World and our partner organization- Compassionate Resource Warehouse also felt the pandemic’s effects, with a greatly reduced number of hours that volunteers were able to prepare items for shipping, as well as additional challenges in clearing and distribution.
Despite these setbacks, we were still able to send out 42 pallets of tools to 12 countries!

KMS TOOLS COQUITLAM CHARITY SHOW & SHINE
What better way to show your appreciation for Dad than spending a day with him at the car show? With likely over 200 pre-1972 vehicles, it’s a favourite show for many car buffs. Show cars are traveling from all around to participate in this year’s event- maybe just to enjoy the show, or maybe it’s because of the thousands of dollars in prizes to be won by both car exhibitors and spectators!
